The Last Narcissus by Abby Leroy, France

Bathing in the river,
A man sees his face in water,
Falls in love instantly
With the sky-blue face
And rippled eyes he beholds.

Bending slowly,
He attempts to kiss his reflection –
Forgetting about the bath
That was to take
All his imperfections away.

Closer and closer, he bows
Until he drowns
In his own beauty.
