Teach Me How by Kristyn Michalski, Russia

When we have become friends
I asked you for a walk
Through the woods
That only we can create
Through our stories
Of far-away places

And I asked you
To teach me not to fall
For someone I have not even seen
The way I loved you
For it is like grieving
Over the same pain twice

But you cannot teach me
For a voice can only be heard
And you cannot hold my hands --
It will just be better said than done

To teach an unrequited lover
You have to lift his arm
And guide it to the heart --
Two hands can soothe its hurting
